Program Highlights:

• ThinkFirst Joplin was launched in the mid-1980s and serves 8 counties in southwest Missouri
• The program is located in the Department of Emergency/Trauma Services at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri
• The program’s sponsoring neurosurgeon is Mary Ellen Nichols, MD
• Sandy and Sue became Co-Directors of ThinkFirst Joplin in the summer of 2008
• Sandy is the Emergency Department Trauma Program Manager and Sue is the Trauma Coordinator at St. John's Regional Medical Center
• Sandy and Sue are looking forward to re-establishing a strong chapter in Joplin and promoting the mission of prevention throughout southwest Missouri
• ThinkFirst For Kids and ThinkFirst For Teens are currently available to area schools on a limited basis
