Program Highlights:

• ThinkFirst Ozarks was launched in 1987 and is housed in the Departments of Emergency Medical Services and Rehab Services at CoxHealth in Springfield, Missouri
• Mike Dawson, Chapter Director, has been extensively involved with ThinkFirst Ozarks since 1987 and actively working in EMS since 1979
• Mike’s 18 years of service with ThinkFirst Ozarks includes serving as the program’s emergency services presenter for seven years, and then as Chapter Director for the past eleven years
• Mark Crabtree, MD currently serves as the program’s sponsoring neurosurgeon
• ThinkFirst For Kids and ThinkFirst For Teens are made available to schools in a 16-county region in southwest and southcentral Missouri with generous assistance from Children’s Miracle Network
• Spanish versions of ThinkFirst For Kids curricula have been placed in area migrant training and educational facilities
• Mike assists the ThinkFirst National Injury Prevention Foundation by actively serving on national task forces and planning committees
