The Corporate/Community Traffic Safety
Program was created
to
promote safety through the workplace and in the community.
Motor vehicle crashes are
the number one cause of lost work time and on-the-job fatalities. From
the perspective of an employer, a seriously injured employee introduces
far-reaching, expensive consequences. In 1991, the Corporate/Corporate
Traffic Safety Program was created to promote safety through
the workplace and in the community.
Presentation components include:
Brief overview of the consequences of motor vehicle trauma
Powerful
personal testimony from an adult survivor of a brain or
spinal cord injury
Discussion on ways
to prevent brain and spinal cord injuries
Interactive
Q&A session
Director, Penny
Lorenz has been an instrumental part of ThinkFirst Missouri since
1985, first as a speaker and currently as Assistant Director. She is especially
motivated about her involvement with ThinkFirst due to her own spinal cord
injury from a car crash in 1982. Penny speaks from experience about the importance
of motor vehicle safety.
