The ThinkFirst
For Kids safety curriculum is a program of the ThinkFirst
National Injury Prevention Foundation. The goal of this
program is to increase knowledge and awareness of the
causes and risk factors of brain and spinal cord injury,
prevention measures, and the use of good safety habits.
The integrated curriculum includes
the following six modules:
- introduction to preventing
brain & spinal cord injury
- vehicle & pedestrian safety
- bicycle safety
- playground,
recreation & sports safety
- water safety
- safety around weapons
Program components include an animated
video and comprehensive curriculum manual.
ThinkFirst
For Kids has demonstrated its effectiveness via extensive
research and evaluation. It is highly acclaimed among
teachers as a valuable tool for teaching injury prevention.

This package includes the ThinkFirst
For Kids curriculum for first, second and third grades,
one packet of reproducible exercise sheets for each grade
level, one set of color comics, one set of black & white
comics, one color poster set, and the animated video "Street
Smart: A Think First Adventure." Call
